I've played with a ton of drummers and I wish that most of them would practice with a metronome. These are the kind of guys who come out of a drum roll 5bpm faster than before. After a while, the song is going way too fast and is ruined. Most drummers just hate using a metronome or click track so there must be a way to get them to practice. That's where the Roland RMP-5 comes in!The Roland RMP-5 is a practice pad with a built-in metronome that can check your timing out. There are built in exercises that are fun. So fun that you'll enjoy improving your time. You can even use the exercises to brag about how accurate you are. Another cool thing that adds to the fun is that the RMP5 has 54 built-in sounds so you can practice quietly while listening to authentic drum samples with headphones. For me the thing that made this a great device is the ability to add two additional drum triggers. That means you can add a bass drum trigger and high hat pad and have a nice little 3 piece set for the small gigs. Imagine being able to carry this around in a small bag and showing up for a gig or rehearsal! You get all of that functionality for only $245. The RMP-5 is a blast to use and you'll have fun while you work on your timing skills! This is a must have for any drummer! Features: - PCM sound engine with 54 sounds onboard
- External dual trigger input for adding an optional kick and cymbal pad
- Variety of metronome sounds and patterns (samba, jazz, etc.)
- Convenient one-piece design
- Large LCD screen
- Patented mesh head technology for a great acoustic feel
- Advanced Rhythm Coach exercises, featuring Stroke Balance and Time Check
- Mix input for playing along with CD players or other audio devices
